WHO Rep praised SL’s vaccination drive
July 16, 2021The World Health Organization’s (WHO) Representative in Sri Lanka, Dr. (Ms) Alaka Singh arrived at the Army-managed Community Vaccination Centre at Viharamaha Devi Park yesterday (July 15).
Responding to the media, she had declared that the Army as an integral part of the national vaccination drive of Sri Lanka, performs a remarkable role to meet the President’s ambitious vaccination plan, the Army sources said.
Dr. (Ms) Singh also closely monitored the procedures adopted, arrangements in place and plans for the next couple of days, the Army further stated.
Deputy Chief of Staff Maj. Gen. Wasantha Madola, senior Army officers, Health Ministry’s medical representative and a WHO official in Colombo were also present at the occasion.
