Army repairs unusable vehicles in Jaffna
July 20, 20214 Sri Lanka Army Electrical & Mechanical Engineers (SLEME) troops repaired and refurbished a set of repaired and refurbished vehicles for the use of the Army recently.
The Army said a few cabs, trucks, tractors, bowsers, three-wheelers, generators and water pumps, some of which were earlier condemned without spare parts or remained unusable have been thus repaired.
Commander Security Forces-Jaffna, Maj. Gen. Priyantha Perera formally handed over these vehicles for the use of Forward Maintenance Area HQ - North and battalions under command to the Security Force Headquarters – Jaffna, the Army also said.
Senior officers of the Security Force Headquarters Jaffna, officers and troops were also present at the location.
