Hands to rev up development drive
July 21, 2021In keeping with the President's directives to uplift the facilities of schools during ‘Gama Samaga Pilisandarak’ programme held at Thanamalwila area, the Sri Lanka Army troops completed renovating of two school playgrounds recently.
Accordingly, playgrounds of Medagama National School and Hambegamuwa Secondary School in Monaragala District were completed by 6 Field Sri Lanka Engineers troops.
Two projects completed were formally handed over to the respective authorities recently, the Army said.
Further, development and renovation work in six schools is in progress under the supervision of the Plant Engineer Brigade
The Army sources said more than 5000 students would be benefited as a result of these projects.
