Army-built two houses vested in needy families
July 28, 2021Sri Lanka Army (SLA) vested in two more new houses constructed by SLA on needy families recently under the Army’s social welfare oriented services.
The vesting of two new houses in Kilinochchi was not only a perk to the beneficiaries, but also beefing up of reconciliation, goodwill and harmony in the region.
Accordingly, Udayasooriyan in Mukkompon and Joseph Kamalas Fernando in Skandapuram, Kilinochchi were the beneficiaries of two houses.
Two families were also given a stock of essential provisions and household items in the meantime, the SLA sources stated.
20 (V) Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment and 20 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops serving under the Security Forces Headquarters -Kilinochchi (SFHQ-KLN) built the houses with financial support of donors.
Commander, SFHQ-KLN Maj. Gen. Harendra Ranasinghe together with \troops and regional state officials attended the respective house warming ceremonies adhering to COVID-19 preventive measures.
