Defence Secretary felicitates a noble CSR Project
July 29, 2021The Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne (Retd) felicitated the Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Kelani Cables PLC, Mahinda Saranapala today (July 29) at the Defence Ministry, in view of his earnest contribution extended to deliver a consignment of handicap equipment to the Ranaviru Seva Authority (RVSA) recently.
In a bid to appreciate the noble Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) initiative, Gen. Gunaratne presented a letter of appreciation to the Kalani Cables CEO during the session.
The package intended for differently-abled war veterans received to RVSA was coordinated by Corporate Social Responsibility Projects Coordinator of the Kelani Cables PLC Jayantha Wijesinghe together with former RVSA Director Brig. Vijith Subasinghe (Retd).
According to Brig. Vijith Subasinghe, Ivor Vanculenberg, a Sri Lankan origin philanthropist, living in overseas, had delivered the consignment, which was made available with the earnest support of the Kelani Cables PLC.
RVSA Chairman Maj. Gen. Nandana Senadeera (Retd) and Vice Chairperson Sonia Kottegoda were also present at the brief event.
