Army Engineers repair irrigational tanks
July 31, 2021Sri Lanka Army are engaged in the renovation of 4 tanks in Mahaweli-L zone in Welioya under the 200 tank renovation project to be in line with the Presidential directive under the "Vaari Saubhgya" project.
Mahaweli Authority has allocated a sum of Rs 3.4 m for cost of fuel for the Army machinery
11 Field Engineer Regiment troops under Field Engineer Brigade are currently carrying out renovation work in Sahana Wewa, Hansa Vila, Kambili Wewa and Vehera Wewa and the project benefits more than 300 families, the Army said.
