Pandemic Control Operations
August 02, 2021Tri-Forces and Police are conducting operations to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the island by untiringly engaging in identifying the virus hit patients and sending their close contacts for quarantine to the Tri-Forces managed quarantine centres established around the country.
According to Sri Lanka’s Epidemiology Unit statistics, 311,349 confirmed cases were reported up to 01 August, making it the total number of cases reported in the country and 278,910 patients were recovered.
The total number of persons vaccinated with 1 st and 2 nd dose remains at 10,076,981 and 2,254,887, respectively, as of 01 August. The dotted blue curve on the graph below denotes the number of patients.
