‘Sarupase Peraliya’, From Battlefield to Farm moves to Galle - RVSA
August 03, 2021Ranaviru Seva Authority (RVSA) led workshop under the theme of ‘Sarupase Peraliya’ was moved to Labuduwa Government Farm in Galle recently with a view of educating regional RVSA beneficiary families of the production of toxic free organic fertilizer.
Regional war hero families interested in organic fertilizer production were the participants of the workshop.
The practical and theoretical perspective of organic fertilizer production was briefed by the agricultural professionals of the Labuduwa Government Farm during the session, the RVSA said.
According to the Ranaviru Seva Authority sources, the inaugural awareness programme of this series was conducted in Matara District last week as a pilot project addressing the differently-able war veterans.
The Bank of Ceylon (BOC) is extending its financial support to the war hero families involved in the industry, the RVSA added.
Officials of the BOC, Regional State Officials, RVSA officers and Ranaviru families were also present at the programme.
