Sandahiru Stupa ‘Crest-Gem’ and ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ is now on the move
August 08, 2021Making another leap forward, the religious procession carrying the ‘Crest-Gem’ and the ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ of Sandahiru Stupa will commence its journey around the country at the auspicious time from Hunupitiya Gangaramaya Temple, Colombo today morning (Aug 8).
According to the passage plan, the motorcade carrying two revered articles will travel passing Piththala Junction, Horton Place, Borella, Kirulapone via Narahenpita, Havelock Town Duplication Road, Mount Lavinia, Dehiwala via Wellawatta and Maliban Junction to reach the first day’s destination at the Bellanwila Raja MahaViharaya.
The parading of sacred articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst the religious blessings throughout the exposition.
The road traffic will be controlled accordingly along the route by respective Police Divisions and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
