Pandemic Control Operations
August 09, 2021Tri-Forces and Police are conducting operations to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the island by untiringly engaging in identifying the virus hit patients and sending their close contacts for quarantine to the Tri-Forces managed quarantine centres established around the country.
According to Sri Lanka’s Epidemiology Unit statistics, 329,994 confirmed cases were reported up to 09 August, making it the total number of cases reported in the country and 295,518 patients were recovered.
The total number of persons vaccinated with 1st and 2nd dose remains at 11,081,092 and 2,938,568 respectively, as of 08 August. The dotted blue curve on the graph below denotes the number of patients.
