Religious procession of Sandahiru Stupa Sacred Pinnacle exposition leaves Korathota Raja Maha Viharaya
August 11, 2021The religious procession carrying the ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ and the ‘Crest-Gem’ of Sandahiru Stupa commenced its journey from the Korathota Raja Maha Viharaya today morning (Aug 11) amidst religious blessings.
The parading will be in place carrying two revered articles to the day’s destination while passing Kaduwela, New Kandy Road, Vihara Mawatha, Kaduwela, Angoda, Gothatuwa New Town, Kotikawaththa, Megoda Kolonnawa, Orugodawaththa, Sedawaththa, Peliyagoda Junction and Biyagama Road to reach the Kelaniya Rajamaha Viharaya in the evening.
The parading of sacred articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst the religious blessings throughout the exposition.
Police Divisions of the respective areas will control the traffic and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
