Religious procession will arrive at Wariyapola today
August 16, 2021The religious procession carrying the ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ and the ‘Crest-Gem’ of Sandahiru Stupa commenced its journey from the Na Uyana Aranya today morning (Aug 16) amidst religious blessings.
The motorcade carrying two revered articles is scheduled to travel via Rambe, Kumbukgete, Hiripitiya, Ganewatta and Wellagala to reach the day’s destination at Wariyapola Sri Vishuddharama Viharaya in the evening.
The parading of sacred articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst the religious blessings throughout the exposition.
Police Divisions of the respective areas will control the traffic and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
