Religious procession will arrive at Wattarama today
August 17, 2021The religious procession carrying the ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ and the ‘Crest-Gem’ of Sandahiru Stupa commenced its journey from Wariyapola Sri Vishuddharama Viharaya today morning (Aug 17) amidst religious blessings.
The motorcade carrying two revered articles is scheduled to travel via Mahakeliya, Pellandeniya, Kurunegala and Polgahawela to reach the day’s destination at Wattarama Sri Arahanta Maliyadeva Rajamaha Viharaya in the evening.
The parading of sacred articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst the religious blessings throughout the exposition.
Police Divisions of the respective areas will control the traffic and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
