Religious procession will arrive at Aththanagalla Rajamaha Viharaya today
August 18, 2021The religious procession carrying the ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ and the ‘Crest-Gem’ of Sandahiru Stupa commenced its journey from the Wattarama Sri Arahanta Maliyadeva Rajamaha Viharaya today morning (Aug 18) amidst religious blessings.
The motorcade carrying two revered articles is scheduled to travel via Dewalegama, Ranwala, Galigamuwa, Kotiyakumbura, Ruwanwella, Meevitigammana and Urapola to reach the day’s destination at Aththanagalla Rajamaha Viharaya in the evening.
The parading of sacred articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst the religious blessings throughout the exposition.
Police Divisions of the respective areas will control the traffic and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
