Pandemic Control Operations
August 30, 2021Tri-Forces and Police are conducting operations to contain the spread of Coronavirus in the island by untiringly engaging in identifying the virus hit patients and sending their close contacts for quarantine to the Tri-Forces managed quarantine centres established around the country.
According to Sri Lanka’s Epidemiology Unit statistics, 426,169 confirmed cases were reported up to 29 August, making it the total number of cases reported in the country and 357,598 patients were recovered.
The total number of persons vaccinated with 1st and 2nd doses remains at 12,309,254 and 7,042,418 respectively, as of 29 August. The dotted blue curve on the graph below denotes the number of patients.
