Army built two house units shelters needy families
September 02, 2021Sri Lanka Army (SLA) continuing its social welfare oriented programmes, built two homes in Kollankaladdy and Uduvil South areas and vested on two needy families recently.
10 Sri Lanka Artillery and 9 Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops provided the technical and engineering support for the construction project completed with co-sponsorships provided by both National Housing Development Authority and the Ministry of Buddhasasana, Religious and Cultural Affairs, the SLA sources said.
Commander Security Forces - Jaffna Maj. Gen. Jagath Kodithuwakku during separate occasions handed over the keys of those houses to both beneficiaries, Mrs Jenadas Anusra and Mrs Rajkumar Thatchajini, the SLA also said.
Dry ration packs and essential household items required for both new houses were also provided during the brief house warming ceremonies held while adhering to healthcare guidelines.
