Met. Dept. warns of strong winds and lightning amidst thundershowers
September 17, 2021The Meteorology Department announced showers or thundershowers will occur at times in Sabaragamuwa, Western and Central provinces and in Galle and Matara districts.
Showers or thundershowers will take place at several places elsewhere in the evening or night.
Fairly heavy showers of about 75 mm can be expected at some places.
The Met. Department also requested from general public to take adequate precautions to minimize damages caused by temporary localized strong winds and lightning during thundershowers.
