Sri Nagapoosani Amman Kovil
August 05, 2019The annual Adipooram Pooja" of Sri Nagapoosani Amman Kovil in Nainativu island was held on 03rd August (2019). According to Navy media, Sri Lanka Navy troops in the North rendered assistance to the successful conduct of the annual Hindu religious ceremony.
Naval personnel rendered assistance to coordinate ferry services between Kurikadduwan to Nainativu for those attending the Pooja while the Rapid Response Rescue and Relief Unit (4RU) was deployed for the lifesaving duties to ensure the safety of the devotees.
Sri Lanka Navy render assistance to all communities in the region to carry out their major religious ceremonies and their services have come under praise by many. The annual St. Anthony's Feast at the Kachchativu Island is another such ceremony.
