Navy brings two injured fishermen ashore
September 20, 2021Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) brought two critically injured fishermen ashore from a multi-day fishing trawler at sea, with the assistance of Sri Lanka Coast Guard (SLCG), recently.
The wounded fishermen were directed to the Karapitiya Teaching Hospital, Galle for treatments, the SLN said.
SLCG ‘Samaraksha’ and SLN Fast Attack Craft P 422 were the vessels directed to fetch the injured.
Reportedly, their fishing trawler was located at the southern seas about 120 nautical miles (222 km) off Galle.
