Army gets more awareness on organic fertilizer production
September 21, 2021Sri Lanka Army (SLA) in coordination with Sri Lanka Mahaweli Authority conducted an awareness programme on production of organic fertilizer recently in Welioya.
The Army’s 62 Division Headquarters on the direction of the General Officer Commanding of the 62 Division, Maj. Gen. Upali Gunasekara organized the programme with a view to educate the troops who are actively engaged in the fertilizer production, the Army said.
According to the Army sources, Deputy Residential Project Manager, Agriculture and an Agronomist of Mahawali ‘L’ Zone delivered educative lectures during the programme.
The programme was underway while adhering to health guidelines.
