KDU International Research Conference in September

The 12th International Research Conference organized by the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDUIRC) will be held on 11th and 12th, September (2019). This year the two-day conference will be held under the theme ‘Challenges to Humankind in the face of new Technologies’.

The international conclave will feature pre-conference workshops, plenary sessions, poster presentations and technical sessions of nine disciplines including defence and strategic studies, law, management, social sciences and humanities, built environment and spatial sciences, computing, engineering, medicine, basic and applied sciences, and allied health sciences.

The 11th International Research Conference (IRC) was conducted last September (2018) under the theme 'Securing Professional Excellence through Collaboration'. Prof. Mohan Munasinghe, Professor of Sustainable Development, Sustainable Consumption Institute, University of Manchester, U.K., a renowned professor who shared the Nobel Prize for Peace in 2007, and Dr. Sarath D Gunapala, prominent scientist who leads the Infrared Photonics Group at the Jet Propulsion Laboratory of NASA who had won the NASA Outstanding Leadership Medal in 2014 were two distinguished speakers who made presentations at the 11th IRC.
