INSARAG Search and Rescue training course held
September 28, 2021A Basic Search and Rescue General-Training Course was conducted at the Disaster Management Training Centre (DMTC) at Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) Station in Mullaitivu and its certificate awarding ceremony was held recently using the Zoom platform.
According to the SLAF sources, 40 Sri Lanka Army and SLAF personnel had attended the course which had been designed and sponsored by the International Search and Rescue Advisory Group (INSARAG).
The final practical exercise of the course consisted of Landslide Rescue and Collapsed Structure Search and Rescue (CSSR) Operational scenarios was carried out at the newly constructed Exercise Simulation Area located within SLAF Station in Mullaitivu, the SLAF said.
