Jaffna Teaching Hospital receives medical equipment from SLAF
September 29, 2021Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) handed over a consignment of medical devices to the Jaffna Teaching Hospital in a bid to brace ongoing COVID-19 treatments recently.
Accordingly, blood pressure equipment, oxygen cylinder, pulse oximeters, infrared thermometers, non-rebreathe masks and venturi masks essential for the COVID-19 treatments were handed over to the hospital authorities.
According to SLAF sources the event was organized under the 11th phase of “Guwan Mithudam” which was culminated on Sep 27 at Palaly following the directives of SLAF Seva Vanitha Unit’s Chairperson Charmini Pathirana.
The Director, Jaffna Teaching Hospital Dr. T. Sathiyamoorthy has extended sincere gratitude to the SLAF mentioning the importance of such equipment during pandemic situation, the SLAF said.
The event was organized in keeping with the healthcare guidelines, they added.
