House for needy family in Jaffna

A deserving family in Jaffna was gifted with a new house, built by Sri Lanka Army troops in Jaffna. According to Army media, the house was handed over to the beneficiary family of Mrs Rajaraththiram Jayakumari during a ceremony held at Kodikamam in Jaffna on Monday (05 August, 2019).

The two bed room house was constructed with the expertise and skill of Army personnel of 15 Gajaba Regiment. Financial support for the construction of the house had been made by Mr Bathiya Jayakody and Mr Chinthaka De Soyza, upon a request made by Security Force Headquarters - Jaffna (SFHQ-J). The sponsors had also provided the house with new furniture.

Commander, Security Forces - Jaffna (SF-J), Major General Ruwan Wanigasooriya, sponsors, senior Army officers and local residents were also present at the house warming ceremony held according to Hindu religious traditions, yesterday.
