Gatambe Sri Rajopawanaramaya to receive Sandahiru Stupa Sacred Pinnacle on Tuesday
October 11, 2021The ‘Sacred Pinnacle’ and the ‘Crest-Gem’ of Sandahiru Stupa will arrive at Gatambe Sri Rajopawanaramaya tomorrow (Oct 12).
The procession carrying the revered Stupa articles left Kandy Malwathu Maha Viharaya today morning (Oct 11) amidst religious blessings and will reach the day’s destination, Asgiri Maha Vihara Maha Pirivena in Kandy in the evening while passing DS Senanayake Street, Mahaiyawa, Watapuluwa, Lewella, Lewella Bridge, Sirimalwaththa Ambalama, Madawala, Polgolla, Katugasthota Bridge, Haloluwa, Aniwaththa and Ihala Katukele.
The parading of revered articles would be presided over by Ven. Maha Sanga amidst religious blessings throughout the exposition.
Police Divisions of the respective areas will control the traffic and strict healthcare measures will be in place during the programme.
