SLNS ‘Samudura’ takes part in naval exercise with HMS ‘Kent’
October 25, 2021Her Majesty's Ship (HMS) ‘Kent’ - a Type 23 Frigate serves in the Royal Navy which arrived in the Port of Colombo for replenishment was engaged in a Passage Exercise (PASSEX) with the Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) off Colombo and departed yesterday (Oct 24).
Accordingly, SLN Ship ‘Samudura’ joined the PASSEX off Colombo with HMS ‘Kent’ prior to her departure, the SLN said.
Commanding Officer of HMS ‘Kent’ Commander Matthew Sykes also met the SLN’s Deputy Chief of Staff and Commander Western Naval Area Rear Admiral Upul De Silva at the Western Naval Command Headquarters, the news added.
