Vavuniya Bogaswewa Maha Vidyalaya receives RO Plant
October 26, 2021Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) continuing its community welfare oriented services vested in another Reverse Osmosis (RO) Plant for water-stressed residents and students in Vavuniya Bogaswewa Maha Vidyalaya yesterday (Oct 25).
Partnering the national program to prevent chronic kidney disease in several parts of the country, the SLN under the sponsorship of the Health Ministry and well-wishers has established 880 RO plants around the country while providing technical expertise and labour.
Commander North Central Naval Area Rear Admiral Bandula Senarathne declared open the new RO plant during a brief ceremony organized at the school premises yesterday.
The Principal, school staffers, a group of children, naval personnel and a limited number of residents were present at the opening ceremony.
