Army-built house vested in a needy family at Pottuvil
October 26, 2021Sri Lanka Army (SLA) troops under the Security Force Headquarters - East expanding its house construction project for needy civilians built one more new house and vested it in the family at Pottuvil recently.
23 Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment troops with the technical expertise of 24 Division and 242 Brigade completed the project along with the sponsorship of Australia-based philanthropist and social service activist Mr Athula Jayasinghe, the SLA said.
Commander, Security Forces - East Maj. Gen. Channa Weerasooriya handed over the keys of the house to the beneficiary, Mr P Shanmugam from Sengamuwa, Pottuvil during the house warming ceremony attended by a few Senior Officers and relatives of the beneficiaries, the SLA confirmed.
