Nine Army Judo players represent World Military Judo Championship in France
October 27, 2021The Sri Lanka Army’s Judo Committee has fielded 9 Army Judo players to represent the World Military Judo Championship - 2021 held in Paris in France from 28 October to 4 November.
Chairman of the National Sports Selection Committee (NSSC), Chief of Defence Staff and Army Commander Gen. Shavendra Silva extended his best wishes to the Army Judo players, their coaches, managers and administrative officials prior to their departure to France, the Army stated.
The Sri Lankan contingent, adhering to health guidelines, would operate in a bio-bubble during the entire period of the games, the Army also said.
