Troops gift house to deserving family
November 02, 2021Continuing its Social Responsibility initiatives the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) has yet again gifted a newly built house to a deserving family in Minneriya.
According to Army media sources, troops of the 7 Sri Lanka Artillery had completed the house with generous contribution by donors in the locality who had provided funds for the building materials.
The house was gifted to Mrs P.G Rohini Kumari Wickramapala of Maharathmale, Minneriya during a simple ceremony held recently (Oct 29).
The construction of the house was initiated after the hapless plight of the beneficiary was brought to the attention of the Commander, Security Forces - East, Major General Channa Weerasuriya, the SLA added.
