Navy on standby for flood relief
November 09, 2021Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) is now on standby to reach flood affected folks during the showery condition experienced in several parts of the island.
Accordingly, 35 flood relief teams of Western and Southern Naval Commands are on standby, the SLN also said.
Meanwhile, three relief teams have been deployed to flood prone areas in the Ratnapura district and also another team has been stationed in Udamalaththa area of Udugama Divisional Secretariat.
Remaining teams are being kept ready for immediate response, the SLN added.
