SLAF assists schools through “Guwan Mithudam” project
December 01, 2021Several upgraded infrastructure facilities completed by the Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) at Sumangala Primary School in Pudalu Oya, Kothmale and Sri Kirushna Vidyala in Sinnathampanei, Vavunia were vested in the students recently.
According to Air Force media, these social service initiatives were carried out under the ‘Guwan Mithudam’ project initiated by the Sri Lanka Air Force.
Under the 20th phase of this multi-phased project the SLAF had renovated the school including installing a new electrical wiring system at the Sumangala Primary School in Pudalu Oya, it says.
Previously under the 19th phase of the project facilities at Sri Kirushna Vidyala in Sinnathampanei, Vavunia were developed.
The projects were funded by the Air Force Seva Vanitha Unit and respective SLAF stations, it says.
The upgraded facilities will be of immense benefit to the deserving students of these two schools situated in the central and northern provinces of the country.
