Army hands over two new houses to ‘Panama’ and ‘Pottuvil’ beneficiaries
December 04, 2021Sri Lanka Army (SLA) has vested newly built two houses to its beneficiaries living in Panama and Pottuvil areas recently.
SLA troops operating under the Security Force Headquarters - East extending their labour support and Civil Engineering expertise have constructed the two new houses in the Panama and Pottuvil areas along with the funds received from National Housing Development Authority (NHDA), the SLA said.
Funds were directed under the ‘Obata Geyak - Ratata Hetak’ housing project launched by the NHDA, the SLA sources also said.
Accordingly, K. Malethana in Panama and Siththi Fatima in Pottuvil along with their beloved family members received the new houses.
Commander, Security Forces - East Maj. Gen. Channa Weerasuriya handed over the keys of new houses to respective beneficiaries during their house warming ceremonies.
Senior officials of the NHDA, Army officers and family members of the beneficiaries were also present at the respective house warming ceremonies.
