Army plants saplings and expands fertilizer production
December 06, 2021Sri Lanka Army troops planted 250 saplings of Kumbuk, Mee and Coconuts inside the Engineer Services Trade School (ESTS) at Galayaya in Thalawa recently in collaboration with the Coconut Cultivation Board and the Mahaweli Authority.
The project was launched on the guidelines of the ESTS Commandant, Colonel Milroy Perera, the Army sources said.
Further, the ESTS on the same occasion, inaugurated the production of some 2000 kilos of organic manure and liquid fertilizer to help the national drive of producing organic fertilizer, the Army said.
