Senegalese Defence Attaché meets Defence Secretary
December 10, 2021The Defence Attaché of the Senegal Embassy accredited to New Delhi and Sri Lanka, Col. Malick Thiaw met the Defence Secretary Gen. Kamal Gunaratne at the Defence Ministry in Sri Jayawardenepura, Kotte today (Dec 10).
Following a warm reception, the Sri Lankan Defence Secretary held discussions with the Senegalese Defence Attaché Col. Thiaw on matters of bilateral importance, and mutual relevance including training facilities available in Sri Lanka.
Mementos were also exchanged following the meeting to mark the occasion.
Sri Lankan Military Liaison Officer Maj. Gen. Dinesh Nanayakkara and Deputy Defence Attaché of the Senegalese Embassy WO2 Aliou Mane were also present at the discussion.
The meeting was held in keeping with healthcare procedures to contain the spread of COVID-19.
