Army-built house vested in a needy family in Batticaloa
December 29, 2021Sri Lanka Army-constructed new house was vested in a needy family of Mrs A M Nandani in Mangalagama, Keviliyamadu in Batticaloa recently during a house warming ceremony graced by Commander Security Forces - East Maj. Gen. Lal Chandrasiri.
Troops of 11 Battalion of Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment completed the construction project with the sponsorship of the late Chandana Gunawardena, a Psychologist, Lecturer and Writer, the Army media reported.
Several household appliances were also gifted to the family at the same occasion which was attended by Senior Officers, family members of the beneficiary and civilians in the village, the Army stated.
