Army repairs Bakmeegama tank bund leak
January 05, 2022Sri Lanka Army (SLA) repaired the Bakmeegama tank bund in Bakmeegama Grama Niladahari Division following the notice of a water leak.
According to the SLA sources, 6 Sri Lanka Armoured Corps (SLAC) troops under the directives of the General Officer Commanding of the 22 Division Maj. Gen. Sanath Aluvihare fortified the tank bund using sand bags.
Reportedly the recent torrential rains have caused the tank bund leakage.
Commander 223 Brigade, Commanding Officer of 6 SLAC and troops participated in the cause, the Army said.
