Oath taking ceremony for KDU new nursing undergraduates
January 07, 2022The oath ceremony for nursing undergraduates of the 35th and 36th intakes was held at the Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) in Werahara last Tuesday (Jan 04).
The KDU Vice-Chancellor Maj. Gen. Milinda Peiris graced the occasion as the Chief Guest while the Dean, Faculty of Nursing at the University of Colombo Prof. Sudath Warnakulasuriya was the Guest of Honour of the ceremony.
Seventy five nursing undergraduates of two intakes took their oath after receiving the lamp and the nursing cap during the brief ceremony, the KDU sources said.
The distinguished gathering congratulated all the nursing undergraduates who embarked on a professional path following the taking of oath, the KDU added.
