Army gifts school shoes for 100 Mullaitivu students
January 18, 2022Sri Lanka Army (SLA) gifted shoes suitable for school attendance for 100 needy students in Mullaitivu district recently.
Mullaitivu troops enabled this facility to the students of selected regional schools while inviting them to the Vidyananda College premises in Mullaitivu, the SLA said.
A private company had sponsored the noble cause at the request and coordination of Mullaitivu troops.
Major General Sanjaya Wanasinghe, Commander Security Forces - Mullaittivu, together with the General Officer Commanding, 59 Division, 591 and 592 Brigade Commanders graced the distribution ceremony.
Principals, teachers and students of those schools and their parents were also present at the event, the news added.
