Foreign Minister lectures NDC course participants
February 11, 2022Foreign Minister Hon. Prof. GL Peiris delivered a lecture on ‘The Armed Forces, Human Rights Law and Geneva Process’ at the National Defence College (NDC) yesterday (10).
The informative lecture was delivered to the Course No. 01 participants of the NDC that comprises of military and Police senior officers.
The Foreign Minister shared his perspectives on how armed forces should conduct in compliance with the human rights laws and other ethical obligations.
The informative and educative speech was followed by a very stimulating Q&A session, the NDC said.
The Foreign Minister was presented a memento as a token of appreciation by the NDC Commandant Maj. Gen. Amal Karunasekara concluding the fruitful session.
The Minister also endorsed his compliments in the Visitors’ Book in marking his visit to the NDC.
