NWSDB enters into an industrial partnership with KDU
February 25, 2022General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) and the National Water Supply and Drainage Board (NWSDB) signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) at the NWSDB Head Office in Ratmalana on Feb 23.
NWSDB Chairman Nishantha Ranatunga and KDU Vice-Chancellor Maj. Gen. Milinda Peiris signed the MOU at the NWSDB Head Office establishing a framework for all future engagements between two parties, the KDU said.
Following the signing of MOU, both parties have announced the first training course designed specifically for Water Treatment Technicians/Operators. Accordingly, the KDU-NWSDB developed course will be offered to potential candidates beginning in May this year, they also said.
Vice-Chancellor emphasized the importance of collaboration among government institutions in order to build synergy during the session.
NWSDB Chairman Ranatunga thanked the KDU for accepting their invitation to collaborate, adding that this is the beginning of a longer collaboration between two important government institutions for the betterment of the people of this country, the KDU sources further said.
