KDU take part in 39th Architects Work and Trade Exhibition
February 26, 2022The students of the ‘Department if Architecture’ belongs to the Southern Campus of the General Sir John Kotelawala Defence University (KDU) took part in the most prestigious national exhibition, in Built Environment, for the second consecutive time, from Feb 24 to 27 at the BMICH, Bauddhaloka Mawatha, Colombo 07 which is organised by the Sri Lanka Institute of Architects (SLIA) .
This annual exhibition serves as a springboard for the interaction of students and professionals in the field of Architecture and the construction industry, the KDU said.
Students from KDU will feature a number of chosen exemplary innovative design projects on multidisciplinary design themes in an exhibition stall the KDU said adding, these design projects were done throughout the academic years of their students.
KDU Vice Chancellor Maj. Gen. Milinda Peiris graced the inauguration of this year’s exhibition along with other dignitaries.
This interdisciplinary exhibition celebrated the creative collaborations between KDU students and their fellow students from the other architecture schools.
The stall is open until Feb 27, from 10.00am to 10.00pm, infusing the essence of architecture for general public in order to get a glimpse of the design and creative calibre of their students, the KDU sources said.
