Visit of United Nations Under Secretary General for Peacekeeping Operations to SLAF aviation contingent MINUSCA
March 01, 2022The Sri Lanka Air Force Aviation Unit of the United Nations Multidimensional Integrated Stabilization Mission in Central African Republic (MINUSCA) had hosted the visit of United Nations Under Secretary General for Peacekeeping Operations, His Excellency Jean-Pierre Lacroix on his official visit to Sector East, (MINUSCA) on 25th February (2022), reports Sri Lanka Air Force (SLAF) media.
This is the first time the SLAF Aviation Unit of MINUSCA had hosted a senior high ranking UN official, it says. Security and administrative briefings were conducted at the Officers’ Mess for the United Nations officials MINUSCA, SLAF sources further said.
The Additional and Assistant Special Representatives to the Secretary General, Head of Office MINUSCA, Force Commander MINUSCA, Sector Commander (East) MINUSCA, Sector Commander (UN Police) MINUSCA, Director Mission Support MINUSCA, UN/Military senior officials had also attended the event, it states.
