Navy gifts computer to Tamil school
March 29, 2022Sri Lanka Navy (SLN) provided a brand new computer for the use of students at Panama Government Tamil School recently (Mar 24). According to SLN media, the computer was provided for the school in view of Navy’s 71st anniversary.
The computer was made available through the Naval Social Responsibility Fund which has been established to develop facilities of underprivileged schools in the island, it says.
Commander Southeastern Naval Command, Rear Admiral Mahinda Mahawatta presented the computer to the school at the event. Navy’s social service initiative which would improve the computer literacy of the students was much appreciated by the school’s principal, it further says.
