Army builds house for a needy family
April 08, 2022Army troops vested a new house on a needy family in Parakramapura, Thonigala recently. Wanni troops embarked on this noble project with the financial support received from the Padaviya Divisional Secretariat under the ‘Saubhagya Housing Programme’, the Sri Lanka Army (SLA) sources said.
Accordingly, A.M Indrani, a resident in Parakramapura, who is undergoing hardships and living without a proper shelter with two daughters after the passing away of her husband, received the new house.
SLA in coordination with the Divisional Secretariat constructed the new house with the technical expertise of 14 (V) Sri Lanka Light Infantry troops who also provided the labour support. The beneficiary with her children, Army and state officials took part in the house warming ceremony.
