Army builds sanitary facilities for the needy
August 23, 2019Sri Lanka Army troops in Wanni carried out another public welfare project to build three new sanitary facility units (toilets) for three low-income families in Sundarapuram area in Vavuniya. According to Army media, the facilities constructed with the support of the 'Bauddaya' TV channel was declared open at a simple ceremony on Wednesday (21 August).
The construction of these sanitary facilities were carried out by the troops of 17 (v) Sri Lanka Sinha Regiment.
Ven. Laksegama Vimalaratna Thero, senior military officer and local civilians were also present at the handing over ceremony
