Sri Lanka Army pugilist wins gold at Paris boxing tournament
May 18, 2022Sri Lanka had won a gold medal at the ‘LES Centuries International Boxing Tournament Paris - 2022’ in France. Sri Lanka Army boxer Lance Corporal P.A.R Prasanna, representing the country at the international tournament won gold in the 57 kg weight class.
According to Army media sources, Lance Corporal Prasanna of 24 Vijayabahu Infantry Regiment (VIR), is the sole pugilist to represent Sri Lanka in the Sri Lanka National Team and win. The tournament was held in Paris from 12 - 15 (May).
