Dry ration for needy families
August 24, 2019A group of needy families living in the Southern part of the country was the beneficiary of a Sri Lanka Army coordinated initiative to provide dry rations. According to Army media Army troops in Hambantota under Security Forces Headquarters - Central coordinated the distribution of dry rations among 100 deserving families in the region.
The donation, made possible by a local philanthropist was distributed among these families during a ceremony held at the Primary School at Weerawila on Thursday (22 August).
The dry ration packets included rice, dry fish, dry chilies, green gram, chickpeas, tea leaves, coconut, dhal, etc.
GOC, 12 Division, 122 Brigade Commander and senior Army officers were among those present at the occasion
