SL Army troops donated blood
June 08, 2022A large number of Sri Lanka Army troops donated blood at blood donation campaign held recently. According to SL Army media, 120 Army and Civil members of the Army offered blood to the Central Blood Bank.
The campaign was organized at Abinawarama Temple in Narahenpita on Friday (3 June) following arrangements made by 10 Sri Lanka National Guard (SLNG) troops of the 144 Brigade HQ of the 14 Division, it says.
The blood donation campaign was carried out with assistance from the Central Blood Bank at Narahenpita in Colombo, it adds.
Troops regularly organize such campaigns at different parts of the country to assist health authorities manage much needed blood stocks at hospitals.
