Army troops in Mullaitivu donate Dry Rations
June 15, 2022Sri Lanka Army troops deployed under Security Force Headquarters-Mullaitivu (SFHQ- MLT) distributed supplementary meals and dry rations among children and a large group of needy families during a programme organized at Pudumathalan Roman Cathalic Mixed School recently.
The programme was organized as per the directions of Commander SFHQ-MLT Maj. Gen. Sanjaya Wanasinghe and accordingly, supplementary food was given away for 41 students of the Pudumathalan School while dry rations were distributed among 350 families in the locality, the Army sources said.
The donation has been geared by Kaluthara Sasanarakshaka Balamandalaya and sponsored by Thalagala Sri Siddhartha Foundation and Tan Ngak & Kee Meng Lang Foundation Limited, Singapore. Further, Matale Fitness Place and JSBCLLC Dubai (Pvt) Ltd. have planned to continuously provide the supplementary meal for the students for a period of six months, the Army said.
Senior Officers and troops of 68 Division, 682 Infantry Brigade, 3 Vijayaba Infantry Regiment and 6 Sri Lanka National Guard, sponsors, the Principal and villagers were present at the occasion.
